Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist in the finishing, shaping, and smoothing of concrete surfaces on various construction projects. Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will ensure that concrete work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest standards. Duties
- Assist with concrete pouring, spreading, and leveling to create smooth, durable surfaces according to project specifications
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery such as concrete mixers and concrete pumps safely and effectively
- Install rebar reinforcement and formwork structures based on blueprint specifications and schematics
- Perform finishing tasks including troweling, caulking, and sealing to achieve desired surface textures and finishes
- Cut, shape, and install concrete forms and related materials for various structural elements
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for yourself and team members
- Support heavy lifting tasks and the use of heavy equipment required for large-scale concrete projects
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools, equipment operation, and maintenance
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately
- Experience with concrete forming, cutting, pouring, finishing, and related masonry work
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and project timelines
- Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and proper safety protocol adherence
- Skilled in using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels as well as power tools like saws and drills
- Experience working on diverse construction projects including renovations, restorations, commercial builds or residential developments
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout shifts
- Basic carpentry skills including framing, trim carpentry, metal stud framing or roofing are a plus
- Understanding of concrete pumping operations and the use of heavy equipment on-site
