Job Summary
As a Soldering Technician, you will work within our production division to solder connectors to cable assemblies. You will contribute to create our drone products from scratch to completion. You will work in a dynamic team setting with several other soldering technicians. You will work with a variety of manufacturing tools and methods to position parts to create components. These include, but are not limited to: heat guns, wire strippers, crimp tools, etc. You will be expected to closely follow technical schematics and manufacturing manuals during the course of the production process.
Responsibilities:
- Perform soldering tasks on electronic components and circuit boards using surface mount technology
- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Solder electrical connections to ensure proper conductivity and functionality
- Assemble and fabricate PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards)
- Use machining tools and calipers to measure and cut materials
- Test and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
Experience:
- Previous experience in soldering and electrical assembly
- Familiarity with surface mount technology (SMT) soldering techniques
- Knowledge of electrical wiring principles and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Proficiency in using calipers for precise measurements
- Experience with PCB fabrication and assembly processes
Skills:
- Strong soldering skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of electrical components and their functions
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment safely
- Familiarity with logic controllers and their operation
- Excellent manual dexterity for precise assembly work
This position requires a high level of attention to detail, precision, and technical knowledge. The successful candidate will have experience in soldering, electrical assembly, and working with PCBs. They should also possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
