Common Ground Connections (CGC) is a Pennsylvania Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) licensed provider dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live meaningful, independent lives in their communities.
We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are passionate about making a positive impact every day. Whether you're experienced in human services or looking to begin a rewarding career, we provide the training and support you need to succeed.
What You'll Do
As a Direct Support Professional, you will:
- Provide person-centered support according to each individual's Individual Support Plan (ISP)
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Support community participation, recreational activities, employment, volunteer opportunities, and appointments
- Teach and reinforce independent living and life skills through individualized Skill Building Plans
- Encourage individuals to achieve personal goals while promoting dignity, choice, and self-determination
- Document daily progress notes, service delivery, and other required records accurately and on time
- Transport individuals safely to appointments and community activities when required
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Valid driver's license and personal vehicle (for positions requiring transportation)
- Ability to pass required background checks and employment screenings
- Compassionate, dependable, and committed to supporting individuals with disabilities.
