Join our dynamic team as a Medical Courier, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of medical supplies and specimens. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work independently while contributing to critical healthcare operations. You'll be responsible for delivering medical items in a 15-mile radius around the Pelham Rd area using the company-provided vehicle, adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Duties
- Safely operate our company-provided cargo van to deliver medical supplies and specimens to designated healthcare facilities and laboratories.
- Load and unload medical items with industrial dolly, ensuring they are secured during transit.
- Follow established routes efficiently while adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Use mobile devices to navigate routes, update delivery statuses, and communicate with dispatch teams promptly.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs of pickups and drop-offs, ensuring compliance with healthcare privacy standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with healthcare staff, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience.
- Must be on time at 6AM to get loaded. Actual route starts from 7AM-11AM, Monday-Friday
Requirements
- Proven delivery driver experience, preferably in courier or healthcare logistics roles.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving commercial vehicles is highly desirable.
- Understanding of traffic laws
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow detailed routes and schedules accurately.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members via mobile devices or in person.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including moving medical supplies, loading/unloading vehicles, and manual handling of packages safely.
- Must have clean background and can pass a drug screen
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $85.00 per day
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
