As a Dental Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating positive patient experiences, supporting clinical excellence, and helping our community achieve healthy, confident smiles.
What You'll Do
- Greet, welcome, and prepare patients for treatment
- Build positive relationships through excellent communication and patient care
- Assist chairside during dental procedures, including suctioning, instrument transfer, and patient positioning
- Sterilize and organize instruments according to infection control standards
- Select, mix, and place dental materials as directed
- Take and process dental radiographs
- Fabricate temporary restorations and polish dental appliances
- Provide oral hygiene education and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and infection control protocols
- Assist with equipment maintenance and inventory management
- Maintain current CPR certification and support emergency procedures when necessary
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and professional team culture
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Dental Assisting Certificate or Degree
- Current CPR certification
- Basic computer proficiency
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work with patients ages 3 and older
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a one-doctor, two-column schedule
