Class A CDL Driver (Semi Truck and Trailer)
Sam Travels & Logistics Inc is a growing trucking company seeking dependable and safety focused Class A CDL drivers to operate our semi trucks and trailers. In this role you will haul freight safely and on time while representing our company with professionalism on every load. This is a paid position with room to grow as we expand our operation.
What You Will Do:
- Safely operate a semi truck and trailer in compliance with all federal (FMCSA), state, and local regulations
- Transport freight between shippers and receivers on time and without damage
- Perform thorough pre trip and post trip inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Secure loads properly and verify paperwork such as bills of lading and delivery documents
- Maintain accurate logs and stay compliant with Hours of Service rules using the ELD
- Communicate clearly with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and route changes
- Practice defensive driving and adjust safely to traffic, weather, and road conditions
- Keep the assigned truck clean, fueled, and in good working order
What We Are Looking For:
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License in good standing
- Clean driving record and a current medical certificate (DOT physical)
- Ability to pass a DOT drug and alcohol screening and background check
- Working knowledge of Hours of Service, ELD use, and DOT safety regulations
- Strong communication skills and a reliable, safety first attitude
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as securing loads and occasional lifting
