Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant I to join our Accounting team on a temporary basis. This position will provide critical support during a departmental transition by processing high-volume transactions and assisting with key accounting functions. The successful candidate will help ensure timely and accurate processing of inventory and vendor-related transactions while supporting month-end close activities.
- Process a high volume of inventory transactions, including transfers, write-offs, and corrections.
- Assist with month-end close activities by running, reviewing, and distributing Gross Margin and Contribution Margin reports.
- Review and create new vendor records in Microsoft Dynamics GP for Accounts Payable.
- Maintain accurate vendor master data and supporting documentation.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding vendor setup requests and the status of vendor records.
- Ensure transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Entry-level accounting experience with at least one year of relevant accounting, finance, or bookkeeping experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred.
