Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team. Duties
- Assist in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service flow, and cleanliness standards
- Support staff training and development to ensure high-quality food handling, customer service, and safety procedures
- Manage shift schedules, monitor performance, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding hospitality experiences
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and reconciliation
- Maintain inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and food safety management protocols
- Assist in managing food production processes, including cooking, food presentation, and quality assurance
- Support management in analyzing profit and loss reports to optimize restaurant profitability
- Participate in interviewing potential team members and contribute to hiring decisions
- Supervise kitchen operations during shifts to ensure efficient food service and adherence to culinary standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience within the hospitality or food industry
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and food handling regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and communicate managerial expectations clearly
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis in a restaurant setting
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling, inventory calculations, and financial reporting
- Culinary experience or kitchen management background is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to train staff effectively and foster a collaborative team environment
