Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Attendant professionals to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in various settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents or clients. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those needing assistance with their daily routines and health needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs as needed
- Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA guidelines
- Support with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs
- Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in personal spaces and common areas
- Follow care plans meticulously to ensure personalized care delivery
- Document patient care activities accurately and report any changes in condition to supervisors or healthcare professionals
- Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through specialized memory care techniques
- Engage in patient monitoring during shifts to ensure safety and well-being
- Participate in training sessions on CPR, first aid, hospice care, or other relevant certifications as required
Qualifications
- Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards
- Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care needs preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and safety awareness
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Valid driver’s license may be required for certain positions
- Bilingual: English/Spanish
