About the Opportunity
We are seeking experienced, motivated Outside Sales Representatives to join our Lifeline Field Enrollment Team in California. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in face‑to‑face sales, enjoy working outdoors, and know how to turn conversations into completed activations.
This is not a simple “free phone giveaway” position. While the Lifeline program provides eligible customers with no‑cost devices, your success depends on your ability to sell, persuade, and close. Agents must maintain a minimum 3 out of 10 sales ratio and approach the field with a strong sales mentality, urgency, and professionalism.
Compensation
You earn $25 for every eligible device activation.
This is a 1099 independent contractor role with unlimited earning potential.
Realistic Weekly Earnings
Your income depends on your sales performance and work ethic. Here are realistic ranges:
- 10 activations/week → $250/week
- 20 activations/week → $500/week
- 30 activations/week → $750/week
- 40 activations/week → $1,000/week
- 50 activations/week → $1,250/week
Top field agents in California commonly activate 40–60 devices weekly, depending on location, traffic flow, and sales skill.
What You Will Do
- Conduct in‑person outreach in high‑traffic community areas
- Educate customers on Lifeline/ACP eligibility
- Complete device activations using your tablet/phone
- Maintain a sales‑driven approach (not just handing out phones)
- Track daily performance and meet activation goals
- Represent the brand with professionalism and integrity
What We’re Looking For
- Sales experience required (retail, wireless, canvassing, door‑to‑door, or field sales)
- Strong communication and persuasion skills
- Self‑motivated, reliable, and goal‑oriented
- Comfortable working outdoors and engaging with the public
- Ability to maintain a 3/10 sales ratio
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
