This leadership role provides the opportunity to oversee complex statewide regulatory programs, serve as a subject matter expert on state and federal healthcare requirements, and ensure fair, timely resolution of disputes that protect providers, patients, and the public.

Job Duties:

Direct and oversee the Informal Dispute Resolution (IDR), Administrative Sanction Reconsideration, and Informal Hearing processes, ensuring timely and consistent case management.

Review and evaluate requests for dispute resolution, assign cases, communicate final determinations, and maintain records of program outcomes and performance.

Interpret and apply state and federal laws, regulations, and policies while providing guidance to healthcare providers, clients, and program stakeholders.

Collaborate with the Office of Legal Counsel on regulatory matters, legislative interpretation, and court proceedings, including providing testimony to support departmental actions.

Develop, implement, and maintain administrative plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.

Design, develop, and deliver statewide training programs and educational materials to support staff development, policy implementation, and regulatory compliance.

Assess organizational training needs, evaluate training effectiveness, and collaborate with statewide leadership to implement continuous process improvements and workforce development initiatives.
