Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professional. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities or special needs. This rewarding role requires patience, empathy, and a commitment to enhancing the lives of others.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Help individuals participate in recreational activities and community outings
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is a plus but will train the right candidates.
- Knowledge of resident rights and person-centered care approaches
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs is a plus
