The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within a corrugated manufacturing facility. This role ensures optimal equipment reliability, minimizes downtime, and supports production efficiency through effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs. The Maintenance Manager leads a team of technicians and collaborates with production, safety, and quality teams to maintain a safe and high-performing operation.
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all maintenance activities for corrugators, converting equipment, and facility systems
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Ensure rapid response to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
- Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reporting systems (CMMS preferred)
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment uptime and reliability
- Analyze equipment failures and implement root cause corrective actions
- Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships
- Oversee installation, modification, and commissioning of new equipment
- Supervise, train, and develop maintenance technicians and leads
- Establish performance expectations and conduct evaluations
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and all safety regulations
- Lead safety initiatives, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), machine guarding, and PPE compliance
- Conduct safety audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Maintain compliance with environmental and regulatory standards
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets
- Control maintenance costs while maintaining high equipment performance
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to support operational goals
- Participate in production planning to align maintenance schedules
- Support capital projects and plant upgrades

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or associate/bachelor’s in engineering, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred.

5–7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production facility, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Experience in corrugated, packaging, or heavy industrial manufacturing strongly preferred

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience with corrugators, die cutters, flexo folder gluers, and related equipment preferred
- Proficiency with CMMS systems
- Understanding of PLCs and automation systems
