A health services organization in New York City is currently seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their Urology Department in Brooklyn.
About the Opportunity:

Shift: Day

Schedule: Monday to Friday

Hours: 9am to 5pm
-
Setting: Outpatient ambulatory care center
Responsibilities:
-
Perform patient intake, including collecting vital signs and relevant visit information
-
Assist providers with urologic procedures and sterile setup
-
Support clinical workflow by answering nursing phone calls, documenting care, and scheduling follow-up appointments
-
Prepare patients and supplies for procedures, including cystoscopies, biopsies, and other office-based urology services
-
Coordinate patient flow and maintain a safe, organized, and efficient clinical environment
-
Handle other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
-
2+ years of Nursing experience
-
Graduation from an approved Practical Nursing program.

Current NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
-
Experience working in a fast-paced Ambulatory and/or Outpatient environment
-
Ability to take vital signs and assist with procedures
Desired Skills:
-
Bilingual
-
BLS certification
-
Urology and/or OB/GYN experience
-
Intermediate knowledge of Urologic procedures
-
Experience with Cystoscopies, Biopsies, Sterile Setup, Vasectomies, or Circumcisions

Venipuncture or EKG experience

Familiarity with EMR systems and Patient Registration

Experience with NextGen
-
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
