Position Overview:
BEPC has an open position for a Manufacturing Laboratory Technician in San Diego, CA. This position supports daily manufacturing and laboratory operations by preparing and verifying materials, performing manual manufacturing activities, assisting with filling equipment, and maintaining accurate production documentation.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, comfortable working in a regulated manufacturing/laboratory environment, and familiar with basic laboratory equipment and GMP, QSR, and ISO requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The employee may be asked to perform additional function-related activities as reasonably required by business needs.
- Weigh, measure, and verify raw materials and components according to established procedures.
- Perform manual manufacturing and production tasks.
- Assist with the operation of basic through fully automated filling equipment.
- Operate basic laboratory equipment, including scales, balances, pipettes, luminometers, and related instruments.
- Follow all established safety procedures and help maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate and complete training records.
- Read, understand, and execute written procedures, manufacturing records, work instructions, and logs.
- Perform housekeeping and cleaning activities within manufacturing and laboratory areas.
- Assist with material handling and stocking of laboratory supplies.
- Complete assigned daily laboratory and manufacturing responsibilities.
- Follow applicable current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with established procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 0–2 years of related manufacturing, production, or laboratory experience.
- Basic knowledge of Quality System Regulation (QSR) and ISO requirements.
- Basic knowledge of current GMPs (cGMPs).
- Basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with laboratory practices, procedures, techniques, instruments, and equipment preferred.
- Bloodborne Pathogen training or knowledge preferred.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to sit and use hands to handle objects, tools, equipment, and controls.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required.
- Ability to lift, move, and carry products weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to perform work that may involve sitting for the majority of the shift.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and moderate noise levels.
- Potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and other materials.
- Potential exposure to blood and bloodborne pathogens.
- Safety shoes with impact and compression protection are required.
- Must follow all applicable PPE, laboratory, manufacturing, and workplace safety requirements.
