We are seeking someone who understands luxury products, consultative selling, and the customer experience involved in purchasing premium home audio and design objects.
Position Overview
We are looking for a Retail Sales Associate who can confidently guide customers through the purchase of high-end audio systems while representing the Silence Please brand with professionalism, expertise, and enthusiasm.
The ideal candidate has experience selling luxury products, furniture, design objects, premium consumer electronics, or high-end audio equipment. They are comfortable discussing both aesthetics and technical specifications, building relationships with customers, and delivering an elevated showroom experience.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage showroom visitors, design professionals, and prospective clients
- Conduct product demonstrations and listening sessions
- Educate customers on speaker performance, system configurations, connectivity options, and audio fundamentals
- Consult with customers to understand their space, design preferences, and listening needs
- Develop relationships with architects, interior designers, creative agencies, and trade professionals
- Manage leads and customer communications
- Follow up on inquiries, quotes, and sales opportunities
- Coordinate with operations and production teams regarding order timelines and delivery logistics
- Assist with showroom merchandising, product displays, and maintaining presentation standards
- Represent the brand at special activations when needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in luxury retail, design sales, furniture sales, premium consumer electronics, or high-end audio sales
- Strong understanding of audio systems, signal paths, amplification, connectivity, and home audio setups
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to translate technical information into accessible customer conversations
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
Preferred
- Experience working with interior designers, architects, or trade clients
- Knowledge of high-fidelity audio brands and audiophile equipment
- Passion for design, furniture, architecture, music, and sound
