We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Journeyman Fabricator/Installer to join our dynamic team. 5+ years of experience is a must. Duties
- Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and installation of structural steel and other steel projects.
- Measure dimensions precisely using standard tools to guarantee quality control and proper fitment of materials
- Fabricate custom components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring adherence to project specifications
- Install structural steel and other misc. steel on construction sites with attention to detail and safety standards
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to interpret technical drawings and ensure seamless execution of installation tasks
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings for precise fabrication and installation
- Skilled in using hand tools such as saws, drills, levels, clamps, and measuring devices; familiar with power tools for efficient work
- Strong knowledge of steel handling, cutting, fitting, and installation techniques
- Ability to perform dimensional measurements accurately for quality assurance during fabrication and installation processes
- Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and ability to work effectively within a team environment
- Handyman experience is a plus—capable of performing minor repairs or adjustments as needed
- Familiarity with construction plans and ability to interpret technical drawings for complex projects
- Willingness to travel to job sites and possible overnight stays
- Must have 5+ years of experience in the steel construction industry
