Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Glass Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass and related fixtures across various commercial and residential projects. Your expertise will help ensure that each installation meets quality standards, safety regulations, and client specifications. Responsibilities
- Measure and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately determine glass sizes and installation requirements
- Handle hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and install glass panels and fixtures with precision
- Install windows, mirrors, glass doors, and other glass components following construction plans and safety protocols
- Perform dimensional measurements for quality control to ensure proper fit and finish of all glass installations
- Use caulking, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing techniques to secure glass fixtures seamlessly within structures
- Conduct heavy lifting safely when handling large or fragile glass units during transportation and installation
- Read construction plans and schematics to coordinate with other trades such as carpentry, drywall, or remodeling teams
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating, window installation, or related fields with a focus on glass or fixture installation
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in construction environments
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings relevant to glass installation projects
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites with a solid understanding of safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to perform precise measurements for quality control purposes ensuring accurate fitment of all components
- Familiarity with remodeling processes including drywall finishing, caulking, painting, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing is a plus
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, climbing ladders/scaffolding, and working in various weather conditions
