Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate production operations to meet quality, safety, and efficiency goals.
- Lead production planning efforts using ERP systems such as MRP to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Monitor supply chain analytics and manage supply chain activities to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Oversee plant management functions including equipment maintenance, safety protocols, and workforce scheduling
- Support team development through training on manufacturing best practices, ERP systems, and process improvement strategies.
- Manage the daily build schedule across all active work orders, prioritizing against ship dates and production capacity.
- Assign crew to work orders based on complexity, skill level, and schedule requirements.
- Monitor build progress throughout the day and resolve bottlenecks in real time.
- Coordinate with the Buyer/Logistics team on parts availability and kitting readiness before builds begin.
- Track and report daily production output, WIP status, and variance from plan to the Operations Manager.
- Own OSHA safety compliance on the floor: PPE enforcement, housekeeping, hazard identification, and incident reporting.
- Participate in root cause analysis for quality escapes or field returns tied to production.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all major build sequences across ABI product lines.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing or fabrication experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated ability to read and execute from work orders, engineering drawings, and assembly BOMs.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to document procedures clearly.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel using formulas, pivot tables and data reporting; comfortable with production scheduling tools.
- Experience with heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or combustion/air handling systems.
- Background in welding, fabrication, or mechanical assembly.
- Prior experience building or maintaining SOPs in a growth-stage manufacturer.
- Familiarity with ERP or production management software.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
