Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial, industrial, and construction sites. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards (National Electrical Code), and safety procedures. Responsibilities
- Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems including high-voltage and low-voltage circuits in commercial and industrial environments.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute projects.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify faults or issues within complex systems using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while adhering to NFPA 70 compliance standards and electrical safety procedures.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment effectively on various job sites, including renovation and new construction projects.
- Read and follow electrical schematics, blueprints, and schematics to ensure precise installation and repairs.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components in industrial settings to support operational efficiency.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including inspection reports, troubleshooting logs, and compliance records.
Skills
- Extensive experience with industrial electrician tasks, including high-voltage wiring and electrical diagnostics.
- Proven ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Strong knowledge of local electrical codes, NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70 standards, and safety procedures.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation systems.
- Skilled in low voltage wiring systems as well as high voltage applications across various industries.
- Familiarity with construction site protocols, blueprint reading, framing carpentry basics, and handyman skills for versatile project support.
- Ability to operate power tools such as drills, saws, wire strippers, along with hand tools essential for electrical work.
- Experience working on renovation projects or within construction environments that demand adaptability and precision.
