Welcome to Lucy's! We’re seeking a positive, upbeat, reliable, barista who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing great customer service. Our team is cross trained for register, kitchen, and barista roles creating a dynamic and supportive workplace. We pride ourselves on a welcoming atmosphere, strong teamwork, and delivering quality food and drinks with every order.
Duties
- Greet & say farewell to every customer warmly and provide friendly, efficient service.
- Help create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat customers.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea and espresso drinks consistently to the Lucy's Standard.
- Communicate appropriately with customers and fellow employees.
- Take customer orders accurately and process cash and credit transactions through our POS system.
- Continuously maintain cleanliness, and organization of restaurant throughout day.
- Restock ingredients, cups, lids, food/drink items and retail products throughout day.
- Support food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Maintain product knowledge and make recommendations to customers.
Qualifications
- Previous barista/food handling experience required.
- Multi-tasking and time management abilities to efficiently prioritize quality and standard in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing, welcoming, energetic demeanor.
- Basic math skills for cash transactions, sales calculations, and inventory counts.
- Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to a positive, fun work culture.
- Reliable team player with a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Ability to stand on feet, squat, reach, and bend throughout the day.
- Ability to regularly lift, push, carry up to 30 pounds.
Schedule
- Availability for 4-5 shifts a week
- Weekends required
- 6+ hour shifts
- Hours change seasonally
