Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to analyze costs, margins, and profitability across various departments and projects
- Monitor and control costs by reviewing expense reports, analyzing variances, and implementing cost-saving initiatives
- Prepare accurate cost reports and forecasts in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on mergers & acquisitions activities, including due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards related to financial reporting, tax accounting, and auditing processes
- Utilize financial software and spreadsheets to track expenses, analyze trends, and generate actionable insights for management
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring adherence to financial regulatory compliance
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and modeling
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, GAAP standards, and tax accounting practices
- Experience with financial software systems used for budgeting, reporting, or enterprise resource planning (ERP)
- Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately
- Knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Effective project management skills to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong client communication abilities for presenting findings clearly and professionally
- Background in finance or accounting with relevant experience in analysis, auditing, or financial regulation
