The Industrial Pump Sales Specialist is responsible for driving sales of industrial pumping systems and related equipment across commercial, municipal and industrial markets. This role focuses on developing new business, managing key accounts, and providing technical sales support for pumps, motors, controls, and associated systems. The ideal candidate combines strong sales skills with mechanical or technical knowledge of fluid‑handling applications.

Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, engineers, plant managers, and end users

Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate pump solutions (centrifugal, positive displacement, sewage, process, booster systems, etc.)

Prepare and present quotes, bids, and proposals based on project specifications and requirements

Interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate system selection

Work closely with engineering, service, and operations teams to support customers throughout the project lifecycle

Conduct site visits to assess applications, troubleshoot issues, and provide value‑added solutions

Track sales activity and opportunities using CRM tools

Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and margin expectations

Stay current on product lines, industry trends, and competitor offerings

Participate in trade shows, training sessions, and customer presentations
-
3 to 5+ years of sales experience in industrial equipment, pumps, HVAC, or related mechanical systems

Strong understanding of pump applications and fluid‑handling principles

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills

Strong time management and organizational abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); CRM experience preferred

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally or regionally

Technical degree or background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial systems

Experience selling to industrial facilities, municipalities, or commercial construction projects

Familiarity with pumping manufacturers product offerings

Knowledge of controls, VFDs, and system integration
