Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Assemblers for a long-term contract opportunity in Oldsmar, FL. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, high-tech environment supporting critical production needs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly of modules, subassemblies, and systems
- Install a variety of mechanical and electrical components per specifications
- Read and follow detailed assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Conduct rework, soldering, connector installation, and component stuffing (SMT and through-hole)
- Handle UV curing, masking, and conformal coating tasks
- Operate reflow ovens, bonding equipment, and test instruments
- Follow ESD and cleanroom protocols, wearing proper PPE
- Maintain accurate timekeeping and production records
- Use computers for accessing work instructions, tracking tasks, and communicating via email
Basic Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in both electronic and mechanical assembly and test
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume production environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access)
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in documentation and quality control
- Comfortable working both independently and within cross-functional teams
- Ability to sit for long periods and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or protected individual per 8 USC 1324b(a)(3)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be 18 years of age or older and pass a pre-placement medical exam
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
Desired Skills and Certifications:
- J-STD-001 Certification (including Space Addendum preferred)
- IPC-A-610 Inspection Certification
- Experience with high-precision timing and test measurements
- Excellent communication, listening, and comprehension skills
- Familiarity with die and wire bonding, UV curing, and cleanroom environments
- Ability to adapt to frequent changes in processes or priorities
- Strong commitment to teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
