As a locally owned gourmet food shop, we specialize in premium extra virgin olive oils, authentic aged balsamic vinegars from Modena, artisan cheeses, wines, and carefully selected specialty foods from San Diego and around the world. What You'll Be Doing
- Welcome customers with genuine enthusiasm and excellent service
- Help guests find products that fit their tastes and needs
- Learn about our olive oils, balsamic vinegars, artisan cheeses, wines, and gourmet products so you can make thoughtful recommendations
- Conduct product tastings after completing training
- Restock merchandise and maintain attractive displays
- Keep the store clean, organized, and well-presented
- Assist with inventory counts and daily store responsibilities
- Work together with the team to deliver an exceptional shopping experience

Qualifications
- Friendly, professional, and dependable
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable working independently as well as with a team
- Reliable transportation
- Able to lift & carry up to 50 pounds
- Able to stand and walk throughout scheduled shifts
- Saturday availability is required
Retail, restaurant, hospitality, specialty food, wine, or cheese experience is a plus, but not required. We're happy to train someone who brings enthusiasm, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
Schedule
We're primarily looking for someone who is available:
- Saturdays (required)
- Tuesdays: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Thursdays: 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Additional weekday availability is a plus as scheduling needs may vary throughout the year.
