Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly and proactive Server Assistant / Bus Person to join our vibrant restaurant team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our service operation, helping to keep the dining area clean, organized, and running smoothly. Your efforts will ensure guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, with prompt and attentive service. Responsibilities
- Clear tables efficiently by removing used dishes, glassware, and silverware while ensuring proper handling and sanitation.
- Assist servers by bussing tables quickly to prepare for new guests, supporting smooth service flow.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, including sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and sanitizing tables and chairs regularly.
- Support food delivery by assisting with table setting, refilling water glasses, and ensuring guest needs are met promptly.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of trays or supplies following safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate cleaning schedules and guest requests.
- Follow all sanitation and food safety standards to uphold hygiene regulations within the restaurant environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; eagerness to learn is key.
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and guest interaction.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and proper body mechanics.
- Knowledge of sanitation practices and food safety standards is a plus.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
