Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Superintendent to lead and oversee construction projects from start to finish. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate all on-site activities, ensure safety compliance, manage project schedules, and uphold quality standards. Your leadership will drive project success by supervising teams, managing subcontractors, and maintaining open communication with clients and stakeholders. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all construction site activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with budget expectations.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to coordinate resources and milestones effectively.
- Oversee safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors by reviewing contracts, tracking progress, and ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately to guide onsite execution and troubleshoot technical issues promptly.
- Utilize tools such as ProCore, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and construction estimating software to monitor project progress, document changes, and prepare reports.
- Conduct regular site inspections using equipment like ohmmeters to verify electrical systems’ integrity and adherence to specifications.
- Coordinate project activities with management teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure clear communication and timely resolution of issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction management with a strong background in supervising large-scale projects on-site.
- Extensive knowledge of construction site safety regulations including OSHA standards.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid or equivalent tools.
- Demonstrated ability in project scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, and construction estimating.
- Supervisory experience leading diverse teams of tradespeople and subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of contracts management and quality control processes.
- Skilled in using technical tools like ohmmeters for electrical inspections; familiar with schematics for troubleshooting.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. Pay: $100,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
