Job Summary
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Hotel Cleaner Housekeeping Temp! This temporary role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a welcoming and spotless environment for our guests. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and comfort. This position is perfect for motivated individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and take pride in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. The role runs from August 19 through September 8, with an hourly rate of $20.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met.
- Handle cleaning tasks in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and conference rooms, maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Operate various cleaning equipment including vacuums, floor buffers, and chemical sprayers safely and effectively.
- Use appropriate chemical agents for cleaning and sanitation while adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines to prevent hazards.
- Manage manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy furniture or equipment during cleaning operations with proper safety techniques.
- Follow hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure a secure environment for staff and guests.
- Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, custodial services, or related hospitality roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including stripping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, and carpet cleaning.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemical handling procedures to ensure safe operation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform sanitation tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform manual handling tasks comfortably.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and team members.
- Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS).
