Lead Teacher – Two-Year-Old Classroom
The Goddard School of Laurel Springs is looking for a nurturing, energetic Lead Teacher to join our Two-Year-Old Classroom!
Our Two's classroom is full of curiosity, imagination, and discovery. Every day, children are building language skills, developing independence, exploring hands-on learning experiences, and reaching exciting developmental milestones—including potty training! We're looking for a teacher who is passionate about creating a warm, engaging environment where children can learn through play, gain confidence, and thrive.
What You'll Do
- Create a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom where every child feels valued.
- Implement The Goddard School's proprietary curriculum through fun, hands-on learning experiences.
- Support and encourage children throughout the potty training process with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
- Foster children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development.
- Encourage independence while supporting each child's individual needs.
- Build positive relationships with families through daily communication and collaboration.
- Observe and document children's progress and developmental milestones.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets all health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to provide the highest quality early childhood education.
Qualifications
- CDA, Associate's Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred or required per NJ licensing requirements).
- Experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Reliable, professional, and passionate about early childhood education.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
