Oz by Oz, a new cocktail bar in the heart of downtown Madison, is looking to hire enthusiastic individuals to work with our bar staff. We are seeking a person of integrity, personality and experienced cocktail knowledge who is willing to work hard while having fun. A true bartender requires someone who knows how to be humble, practice gratitude and engage every inch of the space.
Qualities we look for are a deep sense of good hospitality, prior industry experience, a passion for cocktails, spirits, engaging bartending and the genuine will to do good for the many friends and guests who think of our spots as their home away from home. People are expected to know the snacks and beverage menus, treat strangers like long-lost friends, understand when to ask for guidance, are excellent at communicating, and don’t consider any job outside of their responsibilities. Everyone helps out everywhere at Oz by Oz.
Everyone at Oz by Oz is a host, and everyone in Oz by Oz is working to host a party.
Before you apply, please ensure that you can work weekends (specifically Saturdays).
Prior bartending experience is preferred. We mix a lot of cocktails at Oz, so having a background of craft cocktails will ease the training process. Our servers also cross-train for bartending. Everyone wins!
