Commercial HVAC Service Technician Department: Service
Reports To: Service Manager
Position Summary Full-time (40hrs) The Commercial HVAC Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing commercial HVAC systems. This position requires strong technical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while representing the company professionally.
Essential Responsibilities ∙Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, boilers, chillers, air handlers, exhaust systems, and related equipment. ∙Perform preventive maintenance and identify potential equipment issues. ∙Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control systems. ∙Complete service calls efficiently and accurately. ∙Communicate repair recommendations and equipment conditions with customers. ∙Complete electronic service tickets, documenting labor, materials, and recommendations. ∙Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. ∙Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked company vehicle. ∙Participate in after-hours on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications ∙Minimum of 3 years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred. ∙EPA Universal Certification (Required). ∙Colorado Mechanical IV License (Required). ∙Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. ∙Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and equipment manuals. ∙Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills. ∙Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Physical Requirements ∙Lift up to 75 pounds. ∙Climb ladders and work on rooftops and lifts. ∙Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. ∙Bend, kneel, crawl, and work in confined spaces as needed.
