Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems
- Engage with customers warmly, providing excellent customer service that encourages repeat visits
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and cash handling responsibilities with accuracy using POS systems
- Follow food safety standards and proper food handling procedures during food preparation and serving
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee or food service is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a positive, energetic attitude
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and accurate transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, and lift moderate loads as needed
- Experience in serving, cashiering, or retail math is advantageous but not required
