Welsh‑Speaking Editor (English Welsh)
About the role
Cognition Learning Group is seeking a fluent Welsh‑speaking Editor to support the translation and editing of written materials across our education programmes. This role will play a key part in ensuring our content is accurate, clear and culturally appropriate for Welsh‑medium and bilingual contexts.
The successful candidate will translate content between English and Welsh, as well as edit and proofread materials to a high editorial standard. Documents will vary in length and complexity, from large, text‑heavy reports and programme documentation to education delivery and learning materials.
You will work closely with internal delivery teams, subject matter experts and programme leads to ensure content meets Cognition Learning Group’s quality standards and supports effective education delivery.
About you
You will have:
- Native or near‑native fluency in written Welsh and English
- Proven experience in translation and editorial work
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work with complex and lengthy documents
- Experience adapting tone and language for different audiences
- The ability to manage multiple pieces of work and meet deadlines
Experience working in education, public sector or policy environments is desirable, but not essential.
