Overview
A growing concrete precast manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager-In-Training to oversee equipment repair, preventative maintenance, and future shop development. Ideal candidates come from heavy equipment or diesel technician backgrounds—especially those with field-service experience working on semi-trucks, concrete trucks, or off-site machinery.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair concrete trucks, forklifts, telehandlers, batch plant equipment, and other mechanical machinery.
Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and production equipment.
Train operators on proper equipment use and basic troubleshooting.
Manage maintenance scheduling, parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
Lead and develop a small maintenance team as the company builds an on-site maintenance shop.
Maintain safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and equipment regulations.
Qualifications
2-5+ years of diesel, heavy equipment, or industrial maintenance experience.
Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and respond quickly to equipment downtime.
Leadership experience or readiness to step into a supervisory role.
Welding/fabrication experience is a plus.
Concrete or construction equipment experience preferred.
