Job Description: ON CALL DRIVER NEEDED for a large auto parts distributor in Hawthorne.
Position Type: Contract, possibility to turn into full time
Start Date: ASAP
MUST Have the following:
- A fuel efficient TRUCK/CARGO VAN
- Available to cover drivers during the week and possibly on Saturday's
- Be at least 21 years of age and have 5 years of driving experience
- Valid drivers license and a clean driving record
- State minimum insurance coverage
- Smart phone and GPS mapping capabilities required
- Ability to load AND unload parts up to 50 lbs
Responsibilities
- Safely operate your vehicle to transport auto parts to designated locations.
- Load and unload auto parts from the vehicle with attention to detail and care.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during deliveries.
- Utilize driving skills to navigate routes efficiently and deliver items on time.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
- Maintain a clean appearance as well as a clean & organized delivery vehicle for optimal performance.
- Sense of urgency and attention to detail
Compensation
- RATE: starting at $200-$220/day
- Paid weekly
