Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Sheetmetal Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, fabricating, and maintaining sheet metal components for HVAC systems and related projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, construction site experience, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Duties
- Install sheet metal ductwork, vents, and related components according to blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure precise installation
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal parts
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate installation activities
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely to meet project deadlines
- Assist with the fabrication of custom sheet metal parts on-site or in the shop as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols throughout all phases of installation
Skills
- Proficiency in construction estimating and blueprint reading
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, and metal fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of roofing, stucco, masonry, plumbing, carpentry, and remodeling is advantageous
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC systems
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
- Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and procedures
- Handyman experience or background in restoration work is a plus
