Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Control Coordinator to join our manufacturing team. Occupation Specific Tasks:
- Maintains and Process Customer orders.
- Develop and maintain service schedules
- Provide supplier support as FPG window associate / resolve all concerns
- Validate lineside inventory levels with direct investigation and physical counts
- Calculate actual vs plan accounting for WIP, F/G, Shipments +/-, Production +/-
- Investigate inappropriate levels (low/high) and investigate causes
- Develop short/long term countermeasures to inventory level concerns
- Implement improvements to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained
- Part/Ship to Location set up in Epicor
- Maintain constant communication with Customer contacts for any abnormal situations
- Provide Customer contact with any required information including inventory levels
- Support expedite activities: Logistics, approvals, escalation, volumes, timing
- Communicate any changes with other departments.
- Prepare documents (5P) showing problem analysis, cause & countermeasure (as required)
- Modify and adjust BOL’s as needed
- Available After hours as needed
- Crosstrain on key Scheduling functions for job rotation and backfilling.
Support New model launch activities related to Production Control responsibilities:
- Bill of Material modification and maintenance for related parts
- Part number maintenance and system setup (part detail, bin vol., application)
- Part flow determination (carrier, delivery frequency, packaging, storage) Design change modifications (number, name, impact, DC notification)
Generalized Work Activities:
- Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes, in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Review documents such as production schedules, and work orders to determine materials requirements and material priorities.
- Confer with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
- Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, customer service, production, and engineering.
- Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
- Distribute production schedules to departments.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 3 Years Experience in the areas of planning, scheduling, procurement and/or logistics
- Prior responsibility/experience of direct customer contact / relationship
- Evidence of part number (DC) and inventory control experience and understanding
- Evidence of analytical skills, improvement planning and countermeasure implementation
- Must have good computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff.
- Well organized and strong attention to detail.
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
