Caley Schwartz Psychological Services, LLC is an expanding private practice setting that offers clinical services in the office, virtually, in schools, and in the client’s home. Within programs that are overseen by a psychologist, we are excited to be able to offer therapy and behavioral support to address developmental, cognitive, behavioral, language, social communication, social cognitive, and emotional needs, all within a framework aimed at building flexible thinking, problem solving, and life-skills. Our goal for every child and family is to improve quality of life and create hope for the future.
We are looking for a hard working and reliable individual who can apply his/her clinical/educational knowledge to support a student within the school setting. The best candidate will have a desire to learn and will be a flexible thinker. This job will entail working under the guidance of a Psychologist and/or BCBA in the school setting.
This is a highly specialized position requiring a candidate who is adept at reading the social situation, interpreting child behavior, and responding flexibly.
Applicants must be able to comfortably navigate within different settings including indoor and outdoor spaces and going up and down stairs.
Setting: This is primarily a school-based position with options for additional work in a private practice setting
Location: Primary placement in Easton, CT with office in Ridgefield, CT
Hours: School Day Hours with option for additional hours after school
Supervision: Ongoing close supervision provided by a psychologist and/or a BCBA. Opportunity for learning a multifaceted approach to working with children.
Requirement:
RBT Certification and at least 2 years of experience working with children
OR
At least 3 years of work as a BT working with children under a BCBA
OR
Current enrollment in a masters program working towards becoming a BCBA
OR
Current enrollment in a masters program in a related field and 1 year or more of experience working with children
OR
Masters Degree in educational or clinical field and 1 year or more of experience working with children
Additional Requirements:
Ability to stay organized, multitask, and use good judgement
Ability to provide own reliable transportation
Must have valid driver’s license and show evidence of auto insurance of vehicle to be used to visit clients. A copy of Motor Vehicle Record may be requested.
Employment is contingent on passing a background check
Ability to comply with State and Federal Guidelines with regard to COVID-19 safety regulations
