Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Accounting and Finance to lead our financial operations with energy and precision. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of corporate accounting, including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting.
- Develop and implement financial projection models to support strategic planning and forecasting initiatives.
- Oversee regulatory reporting in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and industry-specific regulations.
- Manage treasury functions such as cash flow analysis, investment management, and risk assessment to ensure fiscal stability.
- Supervise financial statement preparation, analysis of profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and other key reports for internal use and external compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement in accounting systems and data analytics tools to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.
- Lead risk management efforts by analyzing financial risks related to industry regulations, governmental accounting standards, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with business development teams on budgeting, cost control initiatives, and revenue management strategies to maximize profitability.
- Provide leadership for the finance team through coaching, strategic management, and fostering a culture of excellence in financial operations.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in financial management within corporate or non-profit sectors with a strong background in industry knowledge of financial regulations such as GAAP, IFRS, IAS, ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), and other relevant standards.
- Proven expertise in accounting systems implementation, Excel data analysis, financial report writing & interpretation, and technical accounting practices including accrual accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to develop financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis using data analytics tools.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing finance teams; ability to motivate teams toward achieving strategic goals.
- In-depth understanding of governmental accounting practices and compliance management for public entities or non-profit organizations.
- Excellent analytical skills for account analysis, account reconciliation, cash flow analysis, cost control measures, and risk assessment.
- Strategic thinker with a high level of financial acumen; capable of integrating complex concepts into actionable plans that align with organizational objectives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; advanced certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred.

Pay: $92,205.62 - $111,043.33 per year
