U.S. Tape and Label is a family-owned, family-run label printing and labeling solutions business located in Maryland Heights, MO. We operate an administrative and manufacturing facility employing more almost 100 people throughout the bi-state area.
Our Machine Operators produce our finished product for our customers’ consumer packaging. This includes slitting the printed rolls to size, rewinding the rolls and inspecting the labels for quality as well as creating the label rolls to be ready to be applied to the final product.
Position
Printing Finisher/ Slitter/ Rewinder Operator – 2ndShift M-Th and Weekend Shift available
Summary
A finisher runs our Prati, Arpeco and Rotoflex slitters and rewinders. In this role you will perform the following:
· Setup, operate, monitor and maintain finishing equipment and pack finished material into boxes for shipping.
· Follow quality procedures and perform product inspection as necessary.
· Accurately complete documents for moving product to shipping, all required quality inspection signoffs, and productivity information if applicable.
· Complete all necessary paperwork documenting that instructions and work orders have been followed.
· Maintain a clean and organized work area and press.
Requirements:
· A proven and applicable work history.
- 1 year of experience operating flexographic finishing equipment(slitters/rewinders) or equivalent machine operating experience, preferred.
- Prior factory experience is a plus.
· Must be able to read and understand instructions and possess basic arithmetic skills.
· Must be able to work efficiently and repetitively with hands and have physical strength, stamina and coordination to perform duties, including lifting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, stooping and squatting.
· High School Diploma or equivalent
Starting at $17.50/ hr based on experience
2nd Shift, Monday - Thursday or Weekend day shift available
Voluntary or Mandatory Overtime are at the company's discretion.
