Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Mover/Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and assisting with the moving process. The ideal candidate will have experience in route driving and a strong commitment to providing excellent service while ensuring the safe handling of items during transit.
Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently.
- Assist with loading and unloading items, ensuring they are secured for transport.
- Navigate designated routes while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual handling of various items, including furniture and equipment.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding delivery schedules and requirements.
- Complete necessary paperwork related to deliveries and inventory management.
Experience
- Previous experience in route driving or as a van driver is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is a plus.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is desirable.
- Prior experience as a courier or in moving services is an advantage.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and moving tasks is essential.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail are required.
