JOB
The IT Security System Administrator will assist in protecting the college’s digital infrastructure, ensuring compliance with institutional security policies, and supporting faculty, staff, and students in maintaining a secure computing environment for the campus communities.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Assist in implementing and maintaining firewalls, antivirus software, and endpoint protection tools.

Schedule vulnerability assessments, basic penetration testing, and liaison with North Carolina National Guard Cyber Unit.

Monitor attack surface alerts/activity for security breaches and escalate concerns to ACC Network Administrator and IT Director for guidance on remediation.

Document security processes and maintain logs for audits.

Assist enforcement ACC’s Threat Assessment, IT security policies, and document ACC compliance to NCCCS 1B SBCCC 700 and SISM.

Management for ACC Change Management Process

Provide first-level support for security-related incidents and escalate as needed.

Participate in security awareness training for staff and students.
