Job Overview
TeamUP Counseling is hiring immediately for an intensive in-community therapist who enjoys working with young people with behavioral health challenges, psychiatric needs, and/or developmental disabilities. Ideal candidate must have a master's degree and an active New Jersey LSW/LCSW or LAC/LPC license. Previous in-home experience, preferred. Services are offered in the home of a young person. Clinical supervision provided for those seeking the clinical license. Hourly range LSW/LAC: $60-75, LCSW/LPC: $75-90, based on experience, credentials, and total hours assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide 5-30hours of in-home clinical services
- Manage client records electronically
- Administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Must have an active New Jersey LSW/LCSW or LAC/LPC
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with young people with behavioral health needs, psychiatric disorders, and/or intellectual disabilities.
- Access to reliable transportation to commute to and from clients' homes
Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly individual and/or family sessions to young people within their home or community setting.
- Develop and implement treatment plan.
- Collect and document medical records, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with case management teams to coordinate care plans that address social determinants of health and community integration goals.
- Engage with families and caregivers through home & community care visits to support skill development and reinforce therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain ongoing professional development by staying current with behavioral health practices, medical terminology, autism spectrum disorder interventions, and special education strategies.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling
- Valid licensure or certification in mental health counseling or social work (LSW/LCSW or LAC/LPC required)
- Proven experience working with children with behavioral health needs and/or intellectual disabilities.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, HIPAA compliance standards, and medical records management practices.
- Excellent skills in conflict management, crisis intervention, case management, and data collection for treatment evaluation purposes.
- Experience working within home & community environments to deliver patient-centered care is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a compassionate approach toward clients’ diverse needs.
