Join our compassionate Senior Helpers team as an In-Home Caregiver, where you’ll play a vital role in improving the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or injury. This rewarding position allows you to provide personalized care in the comfort of clients’ homes while promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being.
We are not a facility-based service. Caregivers travel to clients’ homes—typically no more than 15-20 miles from your residence—to provide one-on-one care.
-Available Assignment: Claremont- Male client on hospice, bed bound, with feeding tube. Has an inside dog.
Schedule: All shifts available 7AM-3PM, 3PM-11PM, 11PM-7AM **Must be available to accept weekend shifts ongoing.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals based on dietary needs and assist with feeding as required
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry
- Provide transportation for errands or appointments as assigned
Qualifications
- At least one year of caregiving experience with the elderly is highly desirable (in-home care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes). Relevant family caregiving experience may be considered
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including patient transfers (including Hoyer lifts), and prolonged standing or walking
- Compassionate, reliable, and detail-oriented with a genuine desire to improve clients’ lives
- **Valid California driver’s license, reliable vehicle, current auto insurance, and a 3-year DMV driving record
- **Must be registered with the State of California as a Home Care Aide (assistance with registration is available, if needed)
- **TB test within 90 days of Home Care Aide registration or within 7 days of hire
