We are seeking an experienced Part-time Facility Maintenance Technician for a residential condominium. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional who works independently, takes initiative, and requires minimal supervision. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and appearance of the building and its systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and repair building issues promptly and efficiently
- Conduct regular inspections of common areas, mechanical rooms, and exterior spaces
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations as needed
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors when specialized work is required
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and condominium policies
- Proactively identify issues and recommend improvements or preventative solutions
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years of facility or building maintenance experience, preferably in a residential setting
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems
- Proven ability to work independently with little direction
- Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with residents, management, and vendors
- Must be reliable, professional, and safety-conscious
Preferred Certifications (Not Required)
- Trade certifications (electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or similar)
- OSHA or safety training certifications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work in confined spaces
