Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of food handling, sanitation, and presentation
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support overall restaurant operations
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems like OpenTable or POS terminals while adhering to food safety guidelines
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse guests and foster guest loyalty
- Familiarity with POS systems including Toast.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
- Previous experience in host/hostess roles or serving positions is highly desirable for providing seamless guest experiences
