Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders with precision and enthusiasm.
- Use POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders swiftly and accurately.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change while maintaining cash handling accuracy.
- Ensure food safety standards are followed during order taking, food handling, and serving processes.
- Assist in food preparation tasks when necessary to support kitchen operations and maintain efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness of the order station, dining area, and service counters, including bussing tables as needed.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, quick service, or fast-food restaurant environments with a focus on customer interaction.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and transaction processing.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cashiering, retail math calculations, and accurate cash handling.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience in upselling techniques to enhance sales and improve guest experience.
- Knowledge of restaurant operations including serving, bussing tables, and managing food industry standards.
