The firm
A Dallas-based independent firm under second-generation ownership, running two client-facing practices: high-net-worth entrepreneurs and real estate investors on one side, fund syndicators on the other. They've deliberately shifted from compliance-heavy work toward an advisory-first model, and they run on EOS making this a very well planned and high-accountability environment.
The work
This is a senior role with a lot of exposure that will help you grow as an accounting professional. You'll handle the firm's more complex engagements and help direct two to three associates.
- Own complex 1065s with multiple partners, layered allocations, multistate real estate, stacked entity structures
- Support advisory conversations on tax strategy, entity structure, and exit planning
- Translate technical positions into language clients can act on
- Help develop associates toward strategic thinking, not just return prep
- Build automation and process improvement into how the team works
You're not grinding compliance here. The firm's model is built around advisory, and seniors get client exposure earlier than they would at a larger shop.
What they're looking for
- CPA or EA
- 3+ years in public accounting (firm experience required)
- Real depth in partnership taxation, multistate, and real estate is preferred, but some exposure to this is a must
- Comfort in front of clients - you'll be in the advisory conversations, not just prepping for them
- High agency; they're explicit that they want someone who moves without waiting for permission
The path
Year one is owning complex clients and building efficiency into the process. From there, the firm has a formal partner program with an equity stake beyond that. Fast tracking is absolutely possible for the right person, this is a firm where strong performance will be recognized.
