Job description:
Job Title: Medical Assistant
Location: Santa Monica, CA 90404
Duration: 13 weeks (Possible Extension)
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
Key Responsibilities
- Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds and record in medical record
- Assist with tracking and monitoring department specific data
- Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice
- Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs
- Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines
- Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by provider
- Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by provider
Required Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program
- Experience: 3 year in an outpatient clinic setting
- MEDICAL ASSISTANT DIPLOMA FROM A DAPIP ACCREDITED PROGRAM
- Certs: BLS ( AHA or ARC only)
- Education: HS/GED
- Special Requirements: Proficiency with blood draws &Epic Req

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
Experience:
- Medical Assistant in an outpatient clinic setting: 3 years (Required)
- Proficiency with blood draws & Epic Req: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- MEDICAL ASSISTANT DIPLOMA FROM A DAPIP ACCREDITED PROGRAM (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
