Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional customer service.
Pay will be per round trip, running different types of loads from California to Texas and back. 1,200-1,400 per week for trips to texas, there will be opportunities to make more if You are available to go farther or take more frequent trips. Work days will vary but usually for trips out to Texas it will be Monday-friday. 2 years Driving experience and CLEAN driving record Is required for position.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition; report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with hours-of-service regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, inspection reports, and shipment documentation for compliance and record-keeping purposes.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate pickups and deliveries smoothly.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL A license; 2 years minimum truck driving experience required.
- Hands-on experience operating various trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or similar equipment.
- Familiarity with load & unload procedures and route driving best practices.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving and freight handling.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently and safely.
